Hey, it’s OK!

by tessa8m on April 13, 2012

in it's Ok!

Mornin!

As always, thank you for your thoughts on Wednesdays post. I have made such progress with all of this and now I am at a bit of a standstill… something I do need to admit myself. Yesterday I met with my nutritionist who gave me the usual kick in the ass that shes does (helpful)…. and her advice along with yours and my own drive to get better, will keep pushing me toward what I know I need to do! But I will say this, something I have been writing quite often lately, ultimately it comes down to MY decision to get better.

Let’s chat more about this at a later time though!

At this point during the week, my brain feels similar to mush and trying to write out a thoughtful and clear post is just not on the agenda on Fridays! I am sure many of you out there agree :) I do have some updates, follow ups and such that I plan on chatting about next week.

So for today I thought a nice change would be to do a “Hey, it’s OK” thing that Glamour magazine does, in my own way of course! Ashley’s post from yesterday gave me some inspiration to create something like this for a Friday… I really enjoyed the message she was conveying as well :) Also Khushboo wrote one as well! On that note let’s get to it!

Hey, it’s OK….

…….to buy and drink an ice coffee almost every single afternoon now that the weather is consistently above 40 degrees. (Not so ok for the wallet though!)

………… to know she is always there for me, be genuinely excited to move home after college graduation and live with my best friend, MA!

………to sit at Barnes and Noble with a stack of books and magazines taller than you for the entire afternoon and purchase nothing.

…….. to get peeved/jealous/mad at people who are effortlessly running outside while every time you try to, your legs object woefully.

……… to get ridiculously excited to have your vitamins everyday because they are tasty gummies.

…….. to take pictures of yourself when you think you look nice- while at a party, and you are the weirdo in the bathroom taking pics of yourself… I swear it’s ok :)

……….. to accept the fact that I will never understand how some bloggers post three times per day and have time for some sort of life. My posts take me hours to write.

……..to hoard and stock up on various flavors/kinds of nut butters because you never know which food you will be pairing it with so you need options!

………. to wish you could make some kind of career out of Pinterest.

……….. to start your to-do list with a task you’ve already done.

………. to live in New England and not really care about the Bruins. (hmm I might actually be alone on this one ;) )

……… to really and truly want something like this some day:

……….. to wear the same pair of jeans 3-4 days in a row, especially when they get that stretched, perfect fit!

……….. to never be able to spell the word definiteley, definitly, definitely correctly, and get irrationally angry each time you spell it incorrectly.

……….. to have a Disney Songs playlist and listen to it while you walk around campus…. oh and on runs.

……….. to get rather irate at lazy people who take the elevator to the 2nd or 3rd floor in the dorm and have no medical reason or disability to do so.

……… to be slightly concerned how true this is:

…………to face a (still) fearful food, consume half of it, deal with the illogical guilt that comes along with it, and move on.

……….. to separate yourself from your phone for a few hours, come back to it expecting several new texts/emails/messages, and then be pissy when you have nothing new.

………….. to have not seen the Hunger Games yet! I know I knowwww, I am going this weekend though :)

………. to see this magazine in a waiting room and want to read the entire thing and then proceed to do all of the crafts on the craft page- all while reminiscing on your childhood.

………… to know that I am the one standing in my own way, take that information and do something about it,

Phewww that’s all of the “it’s okays” I can think of for now! I enjoyed writing this post, I am sure it will be created again :)

What’s you it’s okay for today or in general?

What are your plans for the weekend?

Have a delightful Friday everyone! :D

Haha I love posts like this for making me feel less like a freakazoid. Things that hit particularly close to home: being weirdly proud of my pinterest boards (no I will not pin just anything!) and being too excited about gummy vitamins. I ate three calciums this morning instead of the recommended two.

I wrote a Hey it’s Okay post too (you probably have just not gotten to my blog, lol)! It’s a link up and one of my favorite things to do for Thursday blogs! And yes, it definitely reminds me of the Glamour magazine and is a good way to bring totally unrelated things together for a blog post!

I love the jeans thing! I so agree- once you find that pair that fits perfectly, it’s hard to wear any other pants. And you’re in college, so you’re totally able to wear the same clothes over and over and not care so much about how you look (it’s so different when you work!).

I haven’t had iced coffee in awhile but seeing your post, I may be making a trip for some soon… :).

My weekend… Clay and I are going to a plant and flower show tomorrow. I’m going to his computer science honor society induction today, and I’m not sure what else is going down (probably not much, maybe just a date night). We take it easy on the weekends!

‘to accept the fact that I will never understand how some bloggers post three times per day and have time for some sort of life. My posts take me hours to write.’

I think that’s contingent on the quality of the post – the reason your posts take so long to write is because you favour quality over quantity.

I now have a compulsion to download some Disney songs…’One Jump’ from Aladdin would be great to run to!
